Affiliate Marketing Opportunity - How to Pick the Right Affiliate Products Fast!

In this article we are going to take a quick look at identifying the right affiliate marketing opportunities. The simple truth is that there is a seemingly endless sea of options and opportunities for ANY avid affiliate marketer, and often the process of picking the right offers can feel overwhelming. I'm going to give you the straight scoop on my process, and hopefully if you are just getting started this will help you make faster decisions as well! Read on..:-)

Congruency and Specificity

I'm a huge believer in the idea of congruency - the offers that I make to my readers MUST be congruent with my site's purpose of underlying message. For example - if I''m creating a diet around weight loss, and trying to offer authentic tips, advice and strategies for safe and effective dieting strategies, I will NOT put offers on the site that are popular, high selling but "fad" diets that are based on principles that are going to turn my readers off. Often times this means sacrificing easy profits in the short term, but if you stay specific, and on message, with viable and authentic options for your audience, in the long run you will make out FAR better than the overnight success stories. (that are gone in a month!)

Proven Conversions are Paramount

Don't re-invent the wheel. Most affiliate networks have done the heavy lifting for you already, and will TELL you which programs are converting best. EPC, gravity, whatever the formula is called is irrelevant. If a program is converting for others, it WILL convert for you as well, as affiliate marketing is a numbers game through and though. Ever read that Robert Frost poem about taking the road less traveled? That's a great strategy for living life, but NOT for making lots of affiliate sales..:-) Let OTHERS do the heavy lifting for you, and then piggyback off their success when identifying the opportunities that are converting best for others.
