Affiliate Marketing - Maximizing ROI

By John Worth

So I started a new affiliate marketing project a few months ago that involves hip hop beat software and it's big money. I have narrowed down my focus in the past year, really working on campaigns and projects that are easily maximized profit wise. Affiliate marketing takes a turn for the best when you start monetization techniques. Whether it is a subscriber list, recurring billing, one time offer, being paid a bonus or all four of these, monetize and maximize or you'll be stuck with only a $10 commission and no dough.

The latest affiliate marketing endeavor is a membership to a site that offers use of their software drum machine, and you get paid every month from the same customer. I swear if I hadn't continued blasting clicks to this site every day for the last few months, I still would have seen most of my first time buyers keep their membership every month, putting thousands in my pocket.

That is the hardest part with recurring billing, well there are actually two parts, getting the site to convert in the first place, then keeping the members signed up. If your members keep their membership, you are always making more than you did before. Always on an upward trend, (That is if you are sending the same amount of traffic and your conversion stays the same. This is the best way to maximize your profits with one click purchases.

So the results are in, 14,000 sales later I am simply keeping an eye on the campaign and I notice a strange trend. It seems as if a lot of people purchase the software at night time during the weekday. Now I don't exactly know why this is, but just as an experiment I turned off the ads during the day. Turning my ads back on resulted in immediate sales, almost in cluster formation, so I was a happy camper after figuring this out.

In affiliate marketing, if you want to make alot of money online, and your payout is less than $100, try a recurring billing product or a product like the ones I used to do in the old days where the vendor gives you a cut of the one time offer in the members section.

Make sure you get more than one sale from every customer. If this seems like to much of a stretch, that's understandable. Just keep trucking and try to get as much as possible from everybody ethically and cleverly.

So that is the moral of the story. You are paying an arm & a leg either with money for your clicks, or your time for article writing. Make sure you get paid for that customer! Not just $10! Make sure you give the owner of the affiliate program a call and at least try to get him to give you a bonus, a lot of these guys are suckers.

A great program that will go out of their way for you is BigBillions.com, the place for affiliate marketing.
