Mistake number 1 - Find a product people want to buy. I know it sounds so simple that it is ridiculous but believe it or not there are plenty of products on the market that people just do not want.
A lot of Internet ebook and report writers are guilty of not doing enough research before they decide on a product to create and as a result they end up producing something that no one is really interested in.
Just because people are not buying a certain product does not stop it from being offered for sale. It does not cost anything for a product to sit on a digital shelf but it could be a huge waste of your time and resources to be marketing a big flop.
Mistake number 2 - Don't choose a product that is already in abundance on the Internet. Yeah this one is a little tricky. You want something that people are already buying because this helps you avoid the first mistake but you don't want potential customers to realize that they can get this anywhere at some other time. When someone has seen an offer all over the place they don't feel a sense of urgency.
Mistake number 3 - Get paid. Again, this sounds too obvious but there are plenty of programs and sellers out there that just don't pay on time if at all. You really need to research the sellers or the company to see if they have a bad reputation before you sign up with them. After all, the whole point of getting into affiliate marketing is to get paid.
